The Physical Sciences Department has made huge strides in its development since the Academy opened in 2004. We have three dedicated and qualified educators.
In line with our school motto "Praestantia" , we strive to produce learners excelling in the focus areas to pursue careers in science-related fields. The CAPS curriculum is followed in grades 10 to 12. The academic programme is supplemented by giving learners opportunities to get involved in as many projects as possible (see projects). The Physical Sciences Department boasts two well-equiped laboritories designed by the school's educators to cater to our specific needs. One of these labs is used as a dedicated chemistry lab and the other a Physical Science lab with a fully installed interactive whiteboard. We are further striving towards full ICT integration in the department. Thanks to Khanya, our ICT integration has grown within the department. |
