Sports Day 2019

On Friday, 1 February 2019, Camst hosted its Annual Sports Meeting; a day filled with fervour and excitement amidst thrills, shrills and cheers of our learners.
The day started off with the lovely procession march of the teams who were attired in paraphernalia that represented their houses: Spartans (Yellow), Phoenix (Red) and Titans (Blue).
This was followed by the 100m and 200m sprint events, in these highly competitive events, the four houses eyed the first place. Once Mr Meyer’s starter gun went off, we witnessed the competitiveness among the houses as the screams of support soared through the roof.
The morning started off with Mr Hoosain, (our master of ceremony) announcing that Spartans House was in the lead but the question was, were the Spartans going to be able to maintain this position? Would Phoenix or Titans surpass them?
Other highlights of the day were the field events that kept the supporters and athletes enthralled. The javelin, shotput and discus events saw an impressive participation by athletes who demonstrated their skills to win points for their respective teams.
At the end of the day, one house departed with a cheerful smile on their faces, the Mighty Spartans House emerged as the House Champions.
It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish. The principal, Ms Naidu thanked all the learners, house masters, parents and teachers for their cooperation and support and advised our learners to keep up their sportsman spirit.
